Mar. 8 - BIG progress. During the time we were lost in the weather warp, Adam & the crew made big progress. The roof is now completely in place and is ready for shingles; windows are being installed and work on the gigantic fireplace is underway. Here are some pictures. The "plastic bag" was erected by the stone masons to keep the mortar warm enough to set (they also built a culvert under their sand pile and started a fire in it so the sand would not freeze). One picture shows the storage room under roof; another shows the fire box. See the next post for two more pictures of the fireplace/chimney in progress.
